This new 5000 sq. ft. library serves as the academic hub for the Katherine Delmar Burke School, a K-8 school for girls. In order to position the library at the center of this linear campus, we transformed an existing classroom building adjacent to the gymnasium. In addition to housing over 40,000 books, the library includes a variety of flexible teaching and gathering spaces organized around a central circulation spine. A separate reading room for the youngest students features a circular ramp and story area.
